Dissertation Planning and Process
Over the course of the past semester, I have begun planning for my dissertation. I have completed a number of steps in this process since my Portfolio 2 meeting. Specifically, I have:
- Obtained HSRB approval through my work on a multi-year writing research project;
- Found a school site at which to collect my dissertation data;
- Conducted a portion of the literature review as an independent study; and
- Submitted a proposal for funding through the College of Education’s Dissertation Fellowship, including outlining a budget for the study. I was recently informed that I will receive funding through the fellowship.
Additionally, I plan to defend my dissertation proposal during the third week of July, to meet the deadline required for the CEHD fellowship.
